Hi friends I'm Bridget a certified sleep Science coach and a mattress expert here At sleepopolis and today I am going to Be reviewing the tuft and needle Original Mattress I'm going to put it Through a variety of tests and let you Know how it performs on our sleepopolis Scorecard but before we get into it Let's go over some quick Deets on the Tuftin needle it's a nine and a half Inch tall all foam mattress that has Cooling materials to help prevent Sleepers from overheating and it has a Budget-friendly price tag I think it has A firmer feel when you first lie down on It and then the foam slowly softened Beneath you and conform to your body Which makes it feel a little softer Overall I do want to mention if you Decide to buy this tufted needle Mattress through our Link in the Description below we may get a Commission but that never sways our Opinions and rather helps us keep these Reviews free and if you decide to buy This bed you're going to get free Shipping a 100 night trial free returns And a 10 year warranty it drives Compressed in a box so I recommend Having a friend help you unbox it and Set it up [Music] Foreign [Music]
Test can be a biggie if you share the Bad with a partner or a pet checking for Motion isolation so motion transfer is How movement travels from one side of The mattress to the other so if you're Getting in and out of bed over here you Don't want someone to be too disturbed By those movements over there so we First test it out with our very visual Red wine test I put a glass of wine on one side and Then I moved around on the other side to Simulate a moving partner or pet to see How it affected it and it did an okay Job not too bad you can definitely see The wine moving so I think you may feel A partner's bigger movements as well Overall I'd give it four stars for Motion isolation Now to our Edge support test which is a Measure of how well the perimeter of a Mattress supports weight so this is good If you want to sit or sleep near the Edge of the bed and it's also good for Couples because it makes the bed feel Larger when it has solid Edge support to Start the test I sat on the side of the Bed and moved around and you can see It's sinking quite a bit below me then I Lied down and moved around on the edge Of the bed and it's still squishing a Good amount so overall I'd give the Tufted needle three stars for Edge Support
[Music] Now to the pressure map test the Pressure map uses heat mapping Technology to show wear pressure is Building across my body when I'm lying On a mattress so here's what you need to Know when you're looking at these Results blues and greens are great and Are showing low pressure while oranges And reds are bad and are showing high Pressure you want to see low pressure Around your back hips and shoulders if You sleep on your side or back and when I laid on my back these are really great Results basically all blue on my side There's a little bit more pressure Forming but I'd say it's still pretty Good overall So I'd give the tufted needle original Five stars for pressure relief for back Sleepers and four stars for pressure Relief for side sleepers I'll note that It's not really about pressure when it Comes to stomach sleepers we're about to Talk about them more next Now let's talk about the different Sleeping positions and how I think They'll all do on the tufted needle Original Mattress so no matter your Sleeping position you want your spine to Be aligned but depending on your Sleeping position you need different Things out of a mattress to make it Happen
Stomach sleepers need a firm bed so Their hips can be lifted up and in line With their shoulders I do think the Tufted needle original has a firmer feel When you first lie on it so I think it Could work for a lot of stomach sleepers But I worry those heavier in weight will Have their hips sink down and put their Spine out of alignment so I'd give the Tufted needle three and a half stars for Stomach sleeping [Music] Side sleepers need their pressure relief Around their shoulder and hip to prevent Pain I personally liked side sleeping on This bed since I felt the materials Cradling me over time but I do think a Lot of side sleepers would prefer a Softer option so I'd give the top to Needle four stars for side sleeping Back sleepers need a blend of support And comfort for healthy sleep posture The top to needle original is a good Pick for them in my opinion so I'd give It five stars for back sleeping Now let's test for responsiveness which Is how easily you can move around on a Mattress so this is good for combination Sleepers who need to change their sleep Position throughout the night and also For anyone who has mobility issues as I've mentioned these Foams can form Around your body a bit so I found it to Not be the easiest bed to change
