Hi I'm Bridget a certified sleep science Coach and Mattress expert here at Sleepopolis and today I am going to be Reviewing the tuft and needle hybrid Mattress I'm going to put it through a Variety of tests and let you know how it Performs on our sleepopolis scorecard But before we dive in I want to give a Quick overview of the top to needle Hybrid it's a 12 inch tall hybrid Mattress that combines Foams and Springs To offer a balanced feel it has a Quilted pillow top cover that feels very Cushiony and offers a little bit of Sinkage along with cooling materials to Help you not overheat I think it has a Medium soft feel overall I do want to Mention that if you do decide to buy This tufted needle hybrid mattress Through our Link in the description Below we may get a commission but They'll never sways our opinions and Rather helps us keep these Reviews free And if you do buy this mattress you're Going to get free shipping a 100 night Trial free returns and a 10-year Warranty it arrives compressed in a box So I recommend having a friend help you Unbox it and set it up [Music] Our first test can be a really important One if you share the bad with a partner Or a pet checking for motion isolation So motion transfer is how movement
Travels from one side of the bed to the Other so if you're sleeping over there And someone's tossing and turning over Here you don't want to be disturbed by Those movements so I want to test this Out with our very visual red wine test I Put a glass of wine on one side and then I pushed into the bed and moved around On the other side to see how it affected It and these were okay results which is Kind of expected for a bed with coils But it didn't do too bad of a job I Think you're likely going to feel a Partner or Pet's bigger movements though So overall I'd give it three and a half Stars for motion isolation [Music] Now let's test for Edge support which is How well the perimeter of a mattress Supports weight so this is good if you Like to sit or sleep near the edge of The bed it can also make a mattress feel Bigger to start the test I sat and moved Around on the side of the bed and it Sinked down a bit here but not too bad The top to needle hybrid does have Firmer Springs along the outside of the Bed to help with this then I got into a Sleeping position and rolled around on The edge and it did pretty good here and Kept me supported so overall I'd give it Four stars for Edge support [Music] Next up is the pressure map test so I've
Mentioned that this mattress has a Pillow top feel but the pressure map Uses heat mapping technology to show Where pressure's building on my body When I lie on the mattress here's what You need to know as we go through this Section blues and greens are good and Are showing low pressure while oranges And reds are bad and are showing high Pressure You want to see low pressure around your Back hips and shoulders if you sleep on Your side or back when I laid on my back You can see pretty much all blue and Some green at the hips which is so great In showing low pressure on my side you Can see more pressure forming but Nothing too concerning so I'd give the Tufted needle hybrid mattress five stars For pressure relief for back sleepers And four stars for pressure relief for Side sleepers I'll mention it's not Really about pressure when it comes to Stomach sleeping we're about to talk About that next more Now let's go over the different sleeping Positions and how I think they all do on The tuft and needle hybrid mattress so No matter your sleeping position you Want your spine to be in alignment but Depending on your sleeping position you Need different things out of a mattress To make it happen stomach sleepers need A firm mattress so their hips can be
Lifted up and in line with their Shoulders I think think the tufted Needle hybrid could work for lightweight Stomach sleepers under 130 pounds but it May be too soft for heavier sleepers Than that so I'd give it three stars for Stomach sleeping Side sleepers need their pressure relief Around their shoulder and hip to prevent Pain I felt comfortable on my side and I Think a lot of side sleepers could enjoy This bed so I'd give the tuft needle Hybrid 4 stars for side sleeping [Music] Back sleepers do great with a medium Firm bed and this hybrid is right in That ballpark I felt comfortable and Supported on my back so I'd give it four And a half stars for back sleeping Now let's test for responsiveness which Is basically how easily you can move Around on the mattress so this is great For combination sleepers or anyone with Mobility issues and you can probably Tell I'm sinking in a little bit right Now while sitting but I do want to move Around in the different sleeping Positions and see how easy it is to do So and I actually thought it was pretty Easy this bed's coils bring it some nice Bounds I do want to mention it makes a Little bit of noise though when you move Around So I'd give it four and a half stars for
