Howdy there folks it's Amelia from Sleepopolis and today we're going to be Comparing two popular online all foam Mattresses the Casper and the tuft and Needle in this video I'll be comparing Their firmnesses construction how they Feel and more to help you decide which Is better for you before we get started I do want to let you know that mattress Brands including the ones featured in This video send us beds for free to Review and to tell you about if you buy Either of these beds using our links in The description we may earn a commission At no additional cost to you that helps Us to fund our testing and bring you These reviews for free okay now let's Get into it First up let's go over what these beds Have in common first both beds are all Foam mattresses they differ a little in Types and quantities of foam but neither Bed has coils second both these beds Have a firmer feel in fact our testers Rated both as a 7 out of 10 on the Firmness scale but more on that later And finally both are great mattresses For back sleepers if sleeping on your Back is your go-to position you'll Definitely want to keep watching to see Which of these beds is best for you Since both are great for back sleepers Now let's go over some key differences Between the Casper and the tuft and

Needle first up the Casper has Zone Support and the tufted needle does not Essentially the Casper is softer at the Shoulders and firmer around the hips to Help with pressure relief and spinal Alignment next these beds differ in Price the Casper is a few hundred Dollars more than the tufted needle at Full retail but you can also use our Coupons to save even more on both of Them just click the link in the Description below Additionally the Casper has more layers than the tuft and Needle [Music] Now let's take a closer look at the Construction of these two mattresses First up the covers the Casper's cover Is a polyester knit blend with a soft And stretchy feel the tufted needles Cover is also polyester but it's quite Thin which can help allow for airflow Next the Comfort layers Casper's Comfort Layer is made from the Brand's airscape Foam which has a slow response to Pressure and features aeration holes to Promote airflow the tufted needles Comfort layer is the Brand's adaptive Foam which has a quick response to Pressure and offers plenty of bounce it Also has gel and graphite infusions for Cooling the Casper has a transition Layer of memory foam this is where the Zone support Dimension comes in this

Layer is divided into three sections Which have different firmnesses softer Foam around the shoulders provides Pressure relief while firmer foam at the Hips provides a little lift to maintain A proper spinal alignment finally the Base layers Casper's base layer is a Thick layer of high density poly foam Tufted needles is also polyfoam with an Open cell design for extra breathability [Music] Now that we know what both these beds Are made of let's talk about how they Feel here at sleepopolis we rate Firmness on a scale from 1 to 10 where One is as soft as a marshmallow and 10 Is as hard as a graham cracker to put it In terms of s'mores 6.5 is our standard For medium firm which is the most common And versatile firmness of mattress our Testers rated both of these mattresses a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale that Means they're a little bit firmer than Average both these beds offer a firm and Supportive feel but I will say the Tufted needle does have more slow moving Foams so the longer you lay on it the More soft it'll feel Your primary sleeping position is an Important factor in choosing the right Mattress for you back sleepers can do Well on a variety of mattresses as they Really just need something comfortable And supportive stomach sleepers tend to

Need a firmer bed to keep their hips Elevated and maintain proper spinal Alignment whereas side sleepers usually Want something a little softer to Provide cushioning on the shoulders and Hips additionally your weight can affect How a bed might feel to you for example Lighter people might find a Bed firmer Than average or heavy people let's start Off with the Casper overall this is a Good choice for back sleepers as it Provides pressure relief at the Shoulders but support at the hips to Maintain both spinal alignment and Comfort however it may not be quite Supportive enough for heavy back Sleepers Who weigh 250 pounds or more For side sleepers the Casper can also be Quite comfortable as it offers some Sinkage and contouring particularly Around the shoulders But lightweight side sleepers weighing 130 pounds or less may find it too firm Finally the Casper only really works for Lightweight stomach sleepers as it will Offer a firmer feel to them average and Heavy stomach sleepers will likely find Their hips sinking into this bed now Onto sleeping positions for the tufted Needle like the Casper the tufted needle Is a good option for light and average Weight back sleepers providing support And some pressure relief for side Sleepers the Tuffy needle could work for

Some average weight side sleepers as it Does have slow moving Foams that offer Pressure relief but we think it's a Little too firm for most of these Sleepers especially if that's their main Sleep position And for stomach sleepers we only Recommend it for lightweight stomach Sleepers same as the Casper [Music] Now onto one of my favorite tests the Pressure map we use this heat mapping Pressure map to show where pressure is Building up along your body as you're Lying in different positions on a Mattress blues and greens indicate low Pressure whereas Reds and oranges Indicate higher pressure For the Casper we see overall blues and Greens indicating low pressure for both Back and side sleeping there is a touch Of yellow on the shoulder of our tester For side sleeping however that is pretty Common if you have super sensitive Shoulders you may want to opt for a Softer bed but overall that's not a sign For side sleepers to worry for the tuft And needle we also see blues and greens Across the board indicating overall low Pressure however our tester did note Feeling pressure on the shoulder and hip While side sleeping even though it Didn't register on the map Next up let's talk about motion

Isolation and Edge support these are two Important factors for many shoppers but Especially for couples motion isolation Refers to how well a bed prevents motion From transferring across the bed AKA if You move will your partner feel that Movement or will it isolate at the Source and Edge support refers to how Well the perimeter of a bed Bears weight So if I sit or lie along the edge will It remain sturdy or will it dip down for Motion isolation the Casper tested a Little better than the tufted needle the Casper had decent results meaning you Will likely feel some movement but it Shouldn't seriously disrupt your sleep On the tufted needle you will likely Feel some bigger movements but shouldn't Be too bothered by the smaller ones like Your partner changing sleeping positions For Edge support the Casper does a Slightly better job keeping you Supported on the side of the bed [Music] With all that in mind let's go over who Should consider getting the Casper Mattress first up the Casper is a good Option for most back sleepers it's Pretty easy to move around on and it Promotes a nice neutral spine alignment For back Sleepers for the most part back Sleeper should feel pretty propped up on This bed Next because it offers some pressure

Relief around the shoulders the Casper Is a good option for most people looking To avoid shoulder pain and finally the Casper is a good option for those with Back pain as it offers a nice mix of Pressure relief and support so who Should get the top to needle first up The tuft and needle is a good option for Most back sleepers it offers a Supportive feel that promotes a neutral Spinal alignment and it offers more of That classic memory foam feel the longer You lay on the bed next this could be a Good option for hot sleepers as it has Cooling infusions in the comfort layer And finally it's a great value buy for Anyone on a budget Okay Well folks that is it for this Comparison between the Casper and the Tuft and needle ultimately I can't Decide which of these beds is better for You but I hope you found this comparison Helpful on your journey towards finding The best mattress for you if you want to Learn more about either of these beds or See some more great options just head Over to sleepopolis.com where we also Have more product reviews sleep health Information and coupons so be sure to Check it out hit that subscribe button And I will see you next time bye Thank you
