Hey guys Martin here from mattress Clarity are you a bigger person if so You want a mattress mate specifically For you and that's why I want to talk About the big fig and the Helix plus Mattresses I'm going to take a look at Their construction their similarities Their differences to help you choose the Right one for you let's get started [Music] First off I want to know it receives Some of these mattresses for free from Brands and they may earn a commission if You decide to purchase them this helps Keep this content free for you and helps Fund our testing operations Foreign About the similarities between these two Mattresses first off they are both made Specifically with larger people in mind They both feature a hybrid mattress Design they are both breathable Mattresses and last but not least They're close in price Talk about the differences so first off The Helix plus is going to be softer Than the big fig mattress they have Slightly different feels and they're Going to feature some different Materials in their comfort layers [Music] Foreign So now let's take a look at the Construction of both these mattresses
Starting off on top and then working our Way down so first off on top of the big Fig mattress a nice thermal gel cover Going to help the breathability and Cooling as well now over on the Helix Plus Max you have a choice of a tensile Cover or a special cooling cover moving Down to the Comfort layer the first Comfort layer of the big fig is going to Be some ventilated gel infused latex Very bouncy and breathable as well Beneath that you have three layers of High density poly foam very durable for Larger bodies now moving over to the Helix plus mattress the first Comfort Layer is going to be some ultra dense Memory foam made for bigger bodies Beneath that some Helix Dynamic foam Gonna have some bounce and durability as Well and beneath that some firm memory Foam also made for bigger bodies moving Down to support layers in the big fig Mattress and individually wrapped coils That are extra supportive similar to What you find over in the Helix Plus [Music] So now let's talk about firmness and Feel and speaking of firmness the big Thing is close to an 8 out of 10 Definitely firmer than average and the Helix plus is close to a 7 out of ten Just a little bit firmer than average I Want to note though that I am 270 pounds I'm a bigger guy but if you weigh more
Than me these might feel softer to you Than they did to me Now speaking of field both are Responsive mattresses overall but they Are slightly different in terms of feel So the big fig mattress kind of a bouncy Responsive feel especially the latex Right in the top layer you get some Bounce as well with the Helix plus but Right on top more of that slow moving Memory foam feel [Music] So now let's talk about how I felt in Different sleeping positions on both These mattresses starting off on the big Thick mattress on my back a little bit Too firm for me my hipster got him being Pushed out of the mattress again if You're bigger than me you might have a Different experience also on my side it Is a firmer than average mattress some Serious pressure on my shoulders and my Hips but moving to my stomach some great Support under my hips and across my Entire body Moving over to the Helix plus mattress On my back a better match for me more of That balance of comfort and support back Sleeper should be looking for my hips Are taking just the right amount and Some good overall support as well moving To my side I'm feeling better pressure Relief on my shoulders and my hips but Moving to my stomach I'm not feeling
Quite as much support as I felt over on The big fig [Music] If you sleep with a Partners two other Things you do want to think about namely Motion transfer and Edge support motion Transfer means you're lying down on one Side of the mattress and your part moves Around on the other side are you going To feel that motion or not Edge support Means if you're sitting or lying down Near the edge of a mattress do you feel Secure or like you're going to roll off And onto the floor now speaking of Motion transfer the big thing it Definitely wins out over the Helix plus Absorbs more motion than the Helix plus But speaking of edge support definitely A tie I feel secure sitting and lying Down to the edge of both mattresses So now let's talk pricing and for a full Price queen size big fig mattress around Eighteen hundred dollars with the Helix Plus mattress closer to 17.50 so very Close we also have some great deals here At mattress Clarity you'll find them on Our website and in the YouTube Description below So who should get the big fig mattress First off it's the better option I think For much heavier people made to Withstand up to 1100 pounds of weight so If you're a much larger person take a Look at the big fig it's also a better
Option for heavier stomach sleepers it Is the firmer mattress of the two show Better support across your entire body And under your hips it's also a better Option if you want something longer Lasting it's definitely the more durable Mattress of the two should be a better Long-term investment So who should get the Helix plus Mattress first topping is definitely a Better option for heavier side sleepers It is the softer mattress of the two you Should feel better pressure relief on Your shoulders and your hips Off that a better option if you just Want something softer overall you want Some more give to your mattress take a Look at the Helix plus last but not Least you like more of a memory foam Feel right on top of your mattress you Do get that with the Helix Plus At this point you should know which Mattress is right for you but if you're Still a bit confused you want some more Information head over to Mattressclair.com for the full written Review and some great money saving Coupons we'll see you next time Foreign [Music]
